MembershipThe AEA welcomes membership by art educators, researchers, students and others working in the field of or with an interest in Visual Arts Education. There are five types of membership of the Institute:
Individual Members shall be those persons having current paid-up membership at rates determined from time to time by Executive. Special rates shall be determined from time to time for student and other concessional membership. Institutional Members shall be those educational institutions or other institutions having current paid up membership in the Institute at rates determined from time to time by Executive. Affiliated Members shall be existing members of a national, state or territory Visual Arts Education organisation affiliated with the AEA. Affiliated members pay no subscription fee directly to the Institute. Affiliated Organisations shall be national, state or territory Visual Arts Education organisations affiliated with the AEA. Approval for a national, state or territory Visual Arts Education organisation to become an affiliate of the AEA will be determined upon application to Council. Corporate members shall be those organisations having current paid up membership rates as determined from time to time by Executive. Honorary membership. Council may appoint Honorary Members on any tenure from one year to life in recognition of such persons' contribution to Visual Arts Education.
