Australian Art Education is devoted to the scholarly examination of issues in the field of art education. Manuscripts which deal with significant topics are welcome as are contributions from people working in areas other than art education per se. The journal is interested in philosophical and historical material as well as research studies. Papers dealing with the development of new theoretical approaches to the understanding of issues in art education and visual culture are especially welcome. Articles are refereed through blind peer review by members of the editorial board.
Australian Art Education is published twice a year and sent to financial members of Art Education Australia. The opinions expressed in the articles are those of the writers themselves and do not necessarily reflect those of Art Education Australia. Future issues may include art education monograph reviews and art education website links/reviews.
